The Tiffin Rotary Charity Auction
The long-term success of your local Rotary club depends on the financial support of Rotarians and friends of Rotary. Each year, since 1985, the local community has joined together in support of the Tiffin Rotary Club and its foundation in the form of our annual auction. In twenty-five years the auction has evolved and increasingly raised more money each year. Support from the community comes in many forms. Everybody plays a vital role in the success of the annual auction including the Rotarians, volunteers, donors and the many different hosts that so willingly opened their doors to this yearly event.
This year, The Rotary Club of Tiffin has become aware of a dire need within our own community. Due to falling revenues, the City of Tiffin was forced to make budgetary conditions that would have resulted in the closing of the Tiffin City Pool in Hedges-Boyer Park, and the cancellation of some programs for youth run by the Department of Parks and recreation. Responding to that need The Rotary Foundation has accepted the club’s recommendation that a major portion of the net receipts from this year’s auction will be designated for the city pool and youth recreation programs operated by the City of Tiffin’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Please support our auction. If you would like to donate an item, please call Auction Chair Michael Strong at 419-448-8544 x14. Please tune in to the auction on March 17 and 18, 2010. It will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Channel 21 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on those dates or you can attend the auction and see it live at The Ritz Theatre. All of the money raised stays right here in Tiffin and supports organizations that serve YOU.
